Yeah, I know you were talking about Unicorn Gundam. I've been following the news and info of the series closely for a while. xD Also, it makes much more sense for RX-78-2 to be the statue. It's THE first Gundam after all; it's far more iconic and recognizable to the general public than GN-0000. If 00 were to be that statue, sure I'll be the first to admit that I'd be happy, but the meaning and impact wouldn't be as strong.
