I don't know if it applies to everyone, but the one I know who does the meow thing really thinks that what's cute in anime would come out cute in real life... :/ Depending on the person and situation, I think the first time is cute. Any more than that gives me goosebumps xD

Mewing in anime drives me as crazy as it does on Internet and in real life. XDDD But yeeeah, any way of trying to be cute usually backfires.
