Your portrayal of Soran is slightly flawed as the numerous facets of his deep personality are not completely touched upon by your roleplay. What about his inner fears that he hides from the world and maybe his own consciousness? Try to explore his desires and hopes through interaction with other people, and maybe let him build his own view of the world by becoming close to those around him. What has he seen in his life to shape him into the person he is now? What does he think of when he sees a butterfly being caught in a spider's web? Does he like chocolate? Think of little details that make up a whole. Which foot does he usually get out of bed with? Is there a little habit that only he knows about and others don't notice? Only if you manage to come up with a fifty-page dissertation about Soran, you will be able to fully play him.
