I love my mother. ;___;
I told her that I wanted to possibly get PG 00, and she said she'll let me buy it and even sponsor for the remaining. ;________; Of course, in exchange I will:
1) Not buy any more gunpla and figurines - she doesn't mind me buying CDs and DVDs *A*
2) Not find a part-time job lmao - she wants me to focus on my studies
3) SCORE WELL FOR MY SUBJECTS - *aims for 3 distinctions >:EEEE*
4) I'm still going to save as much as possible with my own pocket monies ahaha. I have enough for MG Exia, Saji's CD, Regnant's shipping [going SAL this time] and the postage of mags - the rest can go into the PG kit.
It's...pretty funny because only earlier, she mixed up my name with my sister's. OTL OTL So she was like "ANGEL AT SCHOOL" and I'm like "MOTHER I AM ANGEL". xD";
Yay. ;A; Mom wants me to wait until the PG 00 is cheaper, and that I can do. I still have to wait for the 00 Raiser bundle if Bandai decides to be nice lmao.
Make sure I stick to my promise to my Mom, guys \o/ \o/ \o/
...now, about those job applications... 9__9";
EDIT:
Now that there's no need to hide MG Exia, I can probably start on O Gundam. XDDD But I have to write stuff and do notes first. T_T
EDIT:
Roman Album Mook for S2
I've always wondered. D: What exactly IS a Roman Album mook? What goes in it? I know there was one for S1, but it was HUGE and expensive so I was like ":| I'll wait for scans". Except, scans never came so I don't know what it is. XD

The first has good 'shortcut' techniques, the second is a more detailed 'professional' tutorial- and the last isn't 100% related- but if you go to the tutorials drop down, there's a lot of useful stuff in regards to color theory and filling/sculpting with epoxy putty.
And as for tools, the basics (which I'm sure you have mostly coverd, but I'm listing for completion's sake) are:
-pliers: either a small pair of diagonal cutters or flus cutters is ideal
-x-acto knife: for trimming off flash, of course
-fine grit sand paper: 400 grit seems to be the standard, but I usually aim higher
-paint: You'll probably want spray paints for most of the work, but detail jobs will still need hand painting. And don't forget primer!
-micron pen: good for panel lining, just requires more patience and less technique than washes.
-tape: masking and/or painter's tape will work fine to mask off sections of a part you don't want painted
As for the more advanced stuff:
-epoxy putty: the second link recommends using modeling cement to fill gaps where they shouldn't exist, but I'm not fond of the idea of using something where you can't control it's shape before it sets, and by design eats away at the material of what you're working on. just google "green stuff" or "kneadatite" to find what you'll need, and dig around the brush thralls tutorials for ideas on it's usage.
-needle files: gluing sandpaper to a popsicle stick should be most all you need as far as a good filing tool goes, but these can squeeze into smaller gaps and a good set will only put you back a few bucks, so worth it in my book.
-air brush: the ideal tool for the bulk of your painting work, but your propellant options make using one either expensive (air compressor, $100+ for a decent one) or frustrating (canned air- only usable in short bursts before the can starts to chill and the air flow weakens)
-painting area: just check the painting prep section under the second link- skewers, aligator clips, double-sided tape, and adhesive putty. Grab a cheapass styrofoam block from the craft store too, and you'll have a place to stick all the skewers while the parts on them are being painted or drying. Also note his mention of using adhesive putty as a secondary masking material.
-finish: A can of clear spray acrylic will work fine, although for the airbrush crowd Future floor acrylic is apparently the universal choice for a finishing coat. And one note regarding the finish- I'd recommend saving it for the final step- after stickers/decals as well as painting, so everything is under a nice, shiny protective coating.

But what about kits like, say, the Trans-Am version kits? They have special paint so I'm terrified about sanding. ._o"; And those special metal versions (http://www.dalong.net/review/hg/h05/h05_p.htm)? Are there any sort of special paints for those?

And as for special finish kits... I honestly have no idea how to deal with them. there have been ones like the Hyakushiki where the mold has the 'gate' (the plastic connecting the part to the tree) attached at surfaces that won't be visible on the finished kit, but other than recommending you clean the flash entirely (and CAREFULLY) with an x-acto, I don't know any real way to deal with the problem. I would recommend looking around plamo hobby sites though, and seeing if any of the major japanese brands like Tamiya has a line of mirror-finish paints.
