Top school doesn't mean that elites come out from there. Myabe your parent's mindset are that they think top school produces elites students huh. Well, I disagree with that totally. Neighbourhood schools can also produce elites. Totally agree. It's the teachers and students that determine the academic performance of the school, in my opinion. If the students are motivated to study hard and the teachers can motivate them, then the school can produce top students. Heck, if the good teachers can be equally distributed among the schools, they'll have more or less the same kind of academic performance. >XD
I can tell you, now companies are more than willing to employ poly students. Why? Coz the market rate for fresh grad poly students is cheap and that is why they employ them when they come out. Not only that, companies will rather take the cheaper one with better CCA reviews than other students. Here's what my mom thinks haha. University students with beautiful academic and cca records are more likely to get better jobs than Poly people who's never gone to Uni before. That's why, she prefers for me to go JC, so that it's easier to get to NUS next time. o_O;;
Well, that being said. I think I've decided to go for JC after all. ^^;; Because of my father, yep. :)
