Must be Monday Blues. I'm feeling so damn tired after the weekends. Man, I miss the weekends.
I've kinda decided already. It's 70% Poly choice for me. I really don't see the point in JC anymore. I mean, mugging the same old subjects for two years just to prepare for A levels. Then what next if you can't get a decent grade for the As?
I know my parents won't be happy about this, but really. There's no shame in going to Poly even if I come from some top school. Is it really a top school? Life was so damn boring and pointless. Are the teachers really better in elite schools than neighbourhood schools? I don't know.
My mom thinks that it's easier for you to get a job if you've gone through University because it means you're intelligent and can pick up skills quickly.
Well, I'd rather pick up working skills NOW than to struggle with finding jobs later.
Any second, opposing voice, anyone?

PS: Wheeeee...GenX is big love ahaha. There's much drama going around right now. I'm contemplating whether I should let Ming Ming strangle King and get hantam-ed by Brooklyn. I'm contemplating whether I should pick up a second character at Crack Beyblade as well. Yay for RPs. And I haven't done my Maths homework yet.
You know, I'm actually kinda looking forward to getting my Os results as soon as possible. So that I can get out of JCs quickly.
Whatever it is, I'm prepared for a cold war in case my parents oppose to my going to Poly. I'm sorry, but really I'm sure there's much more to education than just memory work, writing essays, or running 5 rounds around the track.

This matter, you'll have to think about throughly.
For me, I do feel that JC is another waste of 2 years. Why? Because, its like you're learning the the same thing over and over again, only for some is foundation basics.
As for poly, you'll get to learn what you'll need when you step into the society in 2 1/2 years later.

Well, its partly true that you waste 2 years just to prepare A's and get a lousy cert if you don't do well. Hm.....to some courses, they might need the A's cert so thats why.

I have to say something about this. xDxD ITS 100% TRUE that there is no shame in coming to poly, if you're from a top school. Top school doesn't mean that elites come out from there. Myabe your parent's mindset are that they think top school produces elites students huh. Well, I disagree with that totally. Neighbourhood schools can also produce elites. I won't say that I'm a elite, but I can tell you, I can do better than some students in those top schools okie?! xDxD *apologises* I do agree that life in JC is definately boring, to me @ least. I didn't like it there too @ first, so I came to Poly.
My mom thinks that it's easier for you to get a job if you've gone through University because it means you're intelligent and can pick up skills quickly.
Wow, something to comment on your mum's mindset now. xDxD I think she's quite 'ancient' bah. Still having this type of thinking. Well, my grandparents are the same too. And I can tell you that NO!!!!! University doesn't mean that the person is blardy intelligent and can pick up a job easily and also get a job quick! NO NO NO!! That is TOTALLY WRONG!!!!! University is only a name to give students their Honours only, where as for Poly, is diploma which is a lower grade than Honours, but still, if you don't get the honours, that it lah. As for the job thingy, I can tell you, even University Studentes have to work as hawker okie? There is news on this article before. I think if you can, find the article and show to your mum and prove her wrong. I can tell you, now companies are more than willing to employ poly students. Why? Coz the market rate for fresh grad poly students is cheap and that is why they employ them when they come out. Not only that, companies will rather take the cheaper one with better CCA reviews than other students. xDxD
Okie, said my piece~ xDxD Come to NP!!! xDxD The Life Sciences there still okie lah~ xDxD

Totally agree. It's the teachers and students that determine the academic performance of the school, in my opinion. If the students are motivated to study hard and the teachers can motivate them, then the school can produce top students. Heck, if the good teachers can be equally distributed among the schools, they'll have more or less the same kind of academic performance. >XD

Here's what my mom thinks haha. University students with beautiful academic and cca records are more likely to get better jobs than Poly people who's never gone to Uni before.
That's why, she prefers for me to go JC, so that it's easier to get to NUS next time. o_O;;
Well, that being said. I think I've decided to go for JC after all. ^^;; Because of my father, yep. :)
