Lol well, it's TWO MONTHS worth of Hungry Ghost Festival. *prays*

I haven't gone to check about it, but the newspaper has reported about it [Actually, more of how the two-month Hungry Ghost Festival may affect the property market XD"], and the Supernatural thread in SGCafe has also discussed about this also.

No spooky events so far, and I hope nothing will happen to me. @.@";;; Unless you count girlKingy dying two times on board the Ossyria ship to Ellinia [and losing 20,000 mesos in the process] an unlucky event. She died because she encountered the Crimson Barlog ships. Yes. Two times in a row. =_____=";;;; That's 2% worth of EXP gone.

My sis had some friends who had some encounters of their own though. Friend 1 had a nightmare which she couldn't remember after waking up, and when she went to prepare breakfast, she felt someone/thing watching her.
Friend 2 had a nightmare, and remembered that it was raining in the bad dream. It rained in the morning that day.

Coincidence or what? .__.";;;

What's worse is that I have to stay back till 6 pm starting next week for my SSP, 4 days a week. And I have so many tests coming up. Plain unlucky lol...

i had trouble understanding the text to begin with but i figured it out in the end ^ ^;; my mum had some trouble with her bank card, which is a big coincidence considering what's happened lately. this hungry ghost thing is really interesting, we don't have anything cool like that over here, not unless you count halloween but thats crap. can you tell me more of this ghost month thing? it'll make a great distraction from whats been happening to me lately ^ ^;;;

Hungry Ghost is far from kids' play actually. x_x" There's a Chinese belief which says that during the seventh lunar month of the Chinese Calendar, the doors of Hell will open so that hungry ghosts can make their way to the mortal world and feed themselves.

So, how do they feed themselves? People burn offerings, joss sticks and offer food to these hungry ghosts. With all the ghosts flying all around, you would think some ghostly encounter or a month [for this year, TWO months...] of bad luck might occur...

why can't england have stuff like this? i wouldn't mind a ghostly encounter (i might say that now but if it happens i'd freak out)

sorry if i sounded a bit childish about this, i know how things like this and traditions are very important to the eastern countries. i just find it interesting since we don't have traditional stuff over here, not any more anyways.

i would've thought the ghosts would feed off of peoples energy until they're really weak. something like that happened to my aunt once when her and some others messed with a oui-ja board. the ghost followed her around until my great aunt (or something, i forget how she's related, only that she married someone in my family) sent it back. this great aunt or whatever she is, is part Romany Gypsy and she's said to have special powers and stuff. she can do seances and stuff. there was one time i heard that a pub had ghosts wrecking the place. i think she was doing a seance then and the ghosts wouldn't wait their turn. she even had to rescue someone after they summoned ghosts during a seance. she had to go put the ghosts back.
also, my nanna tells me that demons are real too. and she saw a ghost.
