Question

Does anyone on my F-list have a Creative Zen mp3 player? I'm thinking of getting one, but I read this horror story in the newspapers whereby someone's Zen player only lasted for a few months, couldn't play music downloaded from the Net and couldn't get it fixed and all that. =\ Is it durable? Had any problems with playback and adding of songs?

Not getting an iPod because it's...EVERYWHERE. And it doesn't really tickle my fancy either. xD"

My friend has got a Creative Zen and she discourages ppl from buyin.. ^^; From what I heard she's been to the repair centre like 2 times..? 3 times? They replace it for you/repair, but I'm not sure if it's with charges. I recommend a IPod, but since you don't fancy it ^^;; (But why not? I love my IPod mini!) Or you could get a k5 samsung.. :3 It has a built in speaker!

o_o";;; if that's the case, I think I'll stick to my Panasonic player for now. xD Anyway, I looked through what they have as well, and I don't think I have a need for such huge storages. XD";;; *is doing quite fine with 512 MB of storage LMAO*

I don't really have a firm reason why I dislike the iPod, maybe I find it annoying that everywhere I turn, I see at least one person toting it. xD";;
Thanks for the advice and suggestions!! ♥ :D

xD If you don't have a need for it, then don't get it ^______^ It's a great way to save money (for other unhealthy wants) :D

My IPod mini's gone slightly crazy, but I still think it works fine. But ya, it's a popular toy xD;;
No problems~ I love looking at MP3 players, though I'm never buying another one :x

My zen micro lasted slighly more than a year before it started having problems.

D: That's sadly short for something so expensive. What kind of problems did it have though?

the audio was distorted. Songs plays but the singer's voice is weird. I can still listen to it but I have to slowly adjust the earphones before the audio can be heard properly. I think partially it can be due to my own fault since i dropped it accidently a few times. xD

I wouldn't recommand Zen Neeon though. Even though my Zen Neeon is still functioning properly.
-It doesn't come with a charger. (You have to charge it through USB)
-If you group your songs into folders, you cant play a playlist that has songs from the different folders.

I totally converted my Zen Micro into a external harddisk now.

I've had a Zen Micro for... almost two years now? And now a single glitch, ever. And I think almost all my music on it is from the Net. Then again, I take good care of it and don't drop it all over the place like some people do. My classmate managed to stick her compass (for Maths) through her IPod. I have no idea how.

And maybe this is quite biased, but Zen Micro beats my friend's IPod hands down when it comes to user-friendliness. (Using the iPod for comparison basis since so many people have it.)

Eg. If I want to create a playlist consisting of songs from various albums while I'm out, I can just 'Add to Now Playing' on my Zen Micro. My friend, though, has to go home, plug into the computer, and create a new playlist.

And the IPod eats computer space like anything. If you save songs to the iPod and then delete them from your computer library, the next time the iPod is plugged in, the songs all go *poof* into nothingness. D:

Ok, now this is hard. :D";; 2 people for the Zen Micro, 1 people against it, and 1 experiencing trouble.

Seriously though, I've never heard about how deleting of songs from the computer can affect the iPod. o_o Now that's just more reason NOT to get one.

Thanks for the advice. XD I think I may end up getting a Zen Micro after all, but I'm still very worried about those glitches that the two people above mentioned. o_0";;; Seems almost like there are substandard products that Creative released onto the market or something.
